Barjis graduated from London College of Fashion and went on to study MA in Design at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design. With a background in fashion design, she has worked for a French fashion house designing haute couture evening wear, and at Vivienne Westwood.  Barjis left the fast-paced world of fashion to concentrate on family life and went on to launch BARJIS. Working in Interiors provided her with the flexibility to run a small business and raise children. She received several awards in business  and  is now combining her love of fashion with her success as a designer and is creating a collection of clothing for the modern Muslim woman.

Her collection was well received at Dubai Fashion week and subsequently she has tied up with a distributor in Turkey and is regularly featured in International press.She went against all the conventional styles available in the market and created understated pieces that enhance the personality of the wearer.Only women with good taste and style will appreciate her work.
 

Barjis has recently completed executive training at Cass Business School, specialising in International Trade and acts as a consultant to numerous start up businesses.

 

Barjis Chohan is a British Asian, was brought up in London but originally from Pakistan, and mother to three girls.
