Hi All,
It’s been an interesting year so far securing a high end residential project in Bahrain and pitching for 30 room apartments in Slough. We have just finished the final touches for a Surrey home. Images will be available once we have completed the house. Our new rug collection can be viewed online.
BARJIS will be partnering with a reputable trade magazine to showcase the rug winner’s final piece as well as sending them on a trip to China to learn rug making in a factory near Beijing in January 2011.We are very excited to help new designers reach their goals and provide them with a platform to make International sales. I thank all the colleges for their continuous support in realising this project.
BARJIS our luxury interiors company is growing and I am going back to my grass roots and designing a couture fashion label for the Modern Muslim woman living in the West. As a Muslim woman I find it difficult to find clothes that respects my faith but is stylish and fashionable. I feel there is a huge demand for this in the U.K with 1 million Muslims just in London. Our research indicated that affluent Muslim woman were not happy with the clothes in London and wanted something unique but wearable. I have teamed up with talented fashion designers and we will be launching this label in autumn.
If anyone is interested in getting involved or investing in this label then get in touch. We can see this project expanding to the Middle East and France. We plan to participate in Dubai Fashion week and London Fashion week. Ashish Gupta the well known fashion designer who is based in London but originally from Delhi has shown keen interest in mentoring us with this collection.
It’s going to be an extremely busy but very exciting summer with all the graduate shows and exhibitions to source new products for our interior design clients. I am looking forward to the Monaco Yacht Show in September. As well as a trip planned for the Middle East and India to find manufacturers for this label.
